That nervousness is normal, and it's the reason the consultation takes as long as it does. We talk it through in English before anything starts — what you want, what you don't want, and where the line is that you don't want crossed. If a reference photo won't sit the same way on your hair, I'll tell you that before I pick up the scissors and explain what I'd do instead, rather than the two of us discovering it halfway through.
Omakase means leaving the design to me. In practice it isn't a blank cheque — I'll show you a reference of where I'd take it, explain how it would sit given your hair, and we only start once you've actually agreed. It suits people who know they want a change but not which change, which is more people than you'd expect.
Tokyo's humidity is brutal, especially in summer. I offer KERAFFECT keratin treatments (from ¥4,400) that calm frizz without flattening your natural texture. I also walk you through a daily routine that works with the climate here — not against it. And if you've come from a hard-water country, you'll notice Japan's soft water is gentler on your hair — it's actually a good moment to do a treatment.

That's the part I care about most. Before you leave, I'll go through how I dried and shaped it step by step, with your own hands if you want, and tell you which products I used and why. If you're visiting Japan, I'll also tell you what you can use instead once you're home. A cut that only looks right on the day you got it isn't finished work.
In most cases yes, but what's realistic in one sitting depends on what's already in your hair. I've taken copper-red damaged hair to a balayage blonde, and I've connected grown-out highlights back up into the roots so the next grow-out is softer. If you're going significantly lighter, I'll sometimes suggest getting there over two visits rather than one — not to sell you a second appointment, but because forcing all the lift in a single session is usually what costs you the condition of your hair. If that's the case, I'll tell you at the start and tell you exactly what the first visit gets you.

多くの場合カラーできます。赤みの強い傷んだ髪からバレイヤージュのブロンドにした例も、伸びた根元と既存のハイライトをつなげて次に伸びたときの境目が目立ちにくくなるようにした例もあります。理想の明るさまで大きく上げたい場合は、2回に分けてご提案することがあります。もう一度ご来店いただきたいからではなく、一度で無理に上げきることが髪の状態を損なういちばんの原因だからです。その場合は最初にお伝えして、1回目でどこまで到達するのかを具体的にご説明します。
